The nature of the inaccessibility of information/knowledge to certain groups of people reinforces pre-existing/oppressive hierarchies/social structures. The groups of people who generally face barriers to knowledge as a tool for liberation, they do not/cannot believe that they have the power to discuss the ways in which they want the world to change, how society needs to adapt/be broken down in order to include them.
