Anna Korbel is an illustrator and musician from Manchester. Her work generally concerns the fringes of visual and audio culture, specifically: religion, imagination, traditional music, art brut, surrealism, presocratic philosophy and improvisation.
Using analog illustration as a method of experimental research, she aims to find new ways of visually collecting/storing information, and communicating esoteric ideas/histories in unusual and engaging ways.
Anna works as a freelance illustration facilitator and workshop assistant for Venture Arts, a Manchester based visual arts organisation that supports learning disabled artists. She has recently accepted a place at the Royal College of Art in London to continue her studies with an MA in Visual Communication.
