Taking inspiration from Billy Childish’s Stuckist movement, Slapstick (2022) discusses the idea of humour in popular culture. Society finds pain funny, misfortune, assault, dreadful accidents. These paintings are a series of nods to moments of slapstick,  on the TV and in real life.

Acrylic, house paint, quink ink, pencil crayon and wax crayon on 400mm by 600mm pieces of plywood.
